Product Description
Vayron Galaxy Black is offered as a 24x48 polished porcelain tile with a black marble look. Its dark field carries incisive white veins drawn from the character of Nero Marquina, and the reflective finish emphasizes their contrast. On the large rectangular face, the veining reads in long, uninterrupted sweeps.
The 24x48 proportion makes each tile a broad visual panel, reducing the frequency with which the marble graphic is divided. Polishing responds strongly to surrounding light, bringing highlights to the black surface and its pale markings. Because the variation rating is V4, vein configurations and tonal details change markedly among pieces, creating conspicuous natural-style movement. Suitable applications are residential and commercial interior walls, shower walls, backsplashes, and light residential flooring within bathrooms, kitchens, and living rooms.
Absorption is limited to 0.5% or less, the threshold for impervious porcelain, so the tile body takes up almost no water. A minimum breaking strength of 425 pounds surpasses the ANSI floor-tile benchmark of 250 pounds. Its wet DCOF value is at least 0.42. Additional properties are Class B chemical resistance and resistance to frost and thermal shock.
This format is sold by the box, while the displayed price is per square foot. Two pieces fill each box and cover 15.49 square feet; the packed weight is 67 pounds. The polished Galaxy Black range includes two smaller modules, 12x24 and 24x24 tile, carrying the same deep ground and white vein vocabulary.
