This end table is a tall cube of Walnut Travertine quarried in Turkey, cut along the vein and polished. Vein cutting slices the stone parallel to its layers, so the surface shows long, linear bands rather than a cloudy pattern. Warm brown and beige tones run up the sides and across the top, and color variation between pieces is moderate, so every table carries its own banding. The cube measures 10 inches wide, 10 inches long and 24 inches high. That narrow footprint and upright form make it a nightstand, an accent table beside a chair or a small display surface in a hallway, without taking much floor.

Design

Linear veins on a tall cube

The design is deliberately plain. Four flat faces and a square top leave the stone to carry the piece, and the vein cut makes that work: the bands run in one direction around the cube and change slightly in width and tone from face to face. Polishing deepens the browns and gives the surface a smooth sheen that catches light from a lamp or a window.
