Calacatta Viola with a carved towel bar
This wall-mount sink is carved by hand from Calacatta Viola marble quarried in Turkey. It measures 37 inches long, 18 inches wide and 8 inches high, and it combines a basin, a hidden drain and an integrated towel holder in one piece of stone. The violet and gray veining across the white ground formed over millions of years, so no two sinks are identical.
Design
Violet veins, polished stone
The sink is polished, a smooth, glossy finish that makes the white marble bright and brings the violet and gray veins forward. The towel holder is part of the design, so a hand towel hangs right at the basin without a separate bar on the wall. The hidden drain keeps the lines of the basin clean and uninterrupted. Curved edges and a smooth interior mean there are no harsh angles where soap residue collects. Moderate color variation between pieces is normal for this marble, and the amount of violet differs on every sink.
Integrated towel holder
A towel bar built into the sink, so no extra hardware on the wall.
Hidden drain
The drain is concealed for a clean, uninterrupted basin.
Where to use it
No vanity required
As a wall-mount sink, it needs no pedestal or vanity, which keeps the floor open and the room uncluttered. It can also be installed above a vanity. At 37 by 18 inches, it gives a generous basin without taking up a full counter. The violet-gray marble works with brass, nickel or black fittings and with white or soft gray walls.

Installation
Brackets and solid blocking
The sink mounts to the wall on sturdy brackets. Solid marble is heavy, so the wall needs blocking between the studs at the mounting height. Because the drain is hidden, its position and the trap below should be planned with the installer in advance, and a wall-mounted faucet should be roughed in at the right height. A professional installer is recommended.

Care
Calacatta Viola is a calcite marble, so it is porous and acids can etch its polished surface. Sealing protects it, and how often it is resealed depends on use, often once a year.
