A fluted Calacatta Viola vanity sink
This rectangular vanity sink is carved individually in Turkey from solid Calacatta Viola marble. It measures 19.5 inches wide, 31.5 inches long and 10 inches high, with a fluted front, and it can hang on the wall or sit above a vanity. The white ground and gray veining vary from block to block, so no two sinks are identical. It fits a contemporary bathroom as easily as a traditional one.

Every sink carries its own veining and subtle colour shifts, with moderate variation from piece to piece, so the pattern on a delivered sink will differ from the product images. The front is fluted, with vertical channels that catch light and add depth to the long face. The interior and exterior are both polished, giving the stone a consistent, glossy finish that brings out the gray in the veining and makes everyday cleaning simple. The edges are curved, with no harsh corners where grime tends to collect.

Plan the wall and faucet
Solid marble of this size is heavy. For wall mounting, blocking between the studs is added at the mounting height while the wall is open, and the brackets are fixed to it. A wall-mounted faucet is the usual choice, planned together with the supply lines and the drain. If the sink sits above a vanity instead, the vanity top must be flat, level and strong enough to carry the stone, and the sink is set in silicone. A professional installer is recommended in both cases.

This sink is made to order on two schedules. The 3 to 4 week option ships sooner, while the 8 to 14 week option is the lower-priced choice; both are the same polished, fluted sink. Care
Calacatta Viola is a porous calcite marble with a polished, sealed surface. Acids such as vinegar, lemon juice or citrus cleaners can etch it, and sealing slows the absorption of moisture and stains. How often it is resealed depends on use, often once or twice a year.
