An 80 inch Calacatta Viola double sink
This double sink is carved by hand from Calacatta Viola marble quarried in Turkey. At 80 inches long, it gives two people their own basin at the same vanity. The stone has a luminous white ground with bold gray veining, and each sink is handcrafted from its own block, so the veining pattern, the color variation and the character of the piece are never repeated.
Design
Two basins, one continuous stone
An integrated backsplash runs along the full 80 inch span. It is carved from the same marble, so the wall behind the basins is protected from splashing without a joint. The finish is polished, which captures and reflects the light, intensifies the veining and gives the stone a depth that seems to come from within. The edges are curved and the construction smooth, with none of the hidden corners and seams where soap scum and moisture gather in a built-up vanity. Moderate color variation is normal, so every sink shows its own veining.
Integrated backsplash
Carved as part of the same marble, running the full length of the sink.
Polished finish
A reflective surface that deepens the gray veining on the white ground.
Where to use it
A double vanity for a primary bath
At 80 inches long and 20 inches wide, the sink is proportioned for primary baths and large shared bathrooms. Mounted on the wall, it shows the full sculptural form of the marble and keeps the room open and airy. The sink can also be installed on a countertop or cabinet when storage below is wanted.

Plan for the full 80 inches
An 80 inch marble sink is heavy, and a wall installation depends on solid backing. Blocking between the studs along the full length at the mounting height is easiest to add while the wall is open. Two faucets and two drains need to be planned, so the supply and waste lines are roughed in under each basin before the sink arrives. A professional installer is recommended.

Care
Calacatta Viola is a calcite marble, so acidic substances such as lemon juice and some cleaners can etch the polished surface. Sealing protects against liquid absorption, and how often it is resealed depends on use, typically every 6 to 12 months.
