Calacatta Viola, fluted and polished
This rectangular wall-mount sink is sculpted by hand from Calacatta Viola marble quarried in Turkey. The stone has a bright white base crossed by bold gray and purple-toned veining, and each block breaks differently, so no two sinks share the same pattern. The front and sides carry vertical fluting, the basin is a clean rectangle, and the whole piece is polished. It comes in two lengths with the same 16 inch width and 8 inch height: 24 inches long for a powder room or a single vanity wall, and 36 inches long for a primary bath that needs more basin.

Design
Vertical fluting in purple-veined marble
The fluting is carved into the stone itself: a row of vertical ribs that wraps the outside of the sink and gives the rectangle an architectural depth. Light falls across the ribs differently through the day, so the face of the sink changes from morning to evening. The polish is applied inside and out. It brings the white marble to a glossy surface and sharpens the contrast of the gray and violet veins, which follow the curves of the fluting rather than running flat. The edges are curved and smooth, with no tight crevices for soap residue to settle into. Moderate color variation between pieces is normal for Calacatta Viola: one sink may carry heavy purple veining, another lighter gray lines on a whiter field.

Where to use it
Two lengths, one profile
Hung on the wall, the sink leaves the floor open beneath it, which keeps a bathroom feeling larger and makes the floor easy to clean. The 24 inch length suits a powder room or a guest bath, while the 36 inch length gives a primary bath a long, generous basin. Both stand 8 inches high, a depth that handles daily use without splashing onto the wall around it. The sink is drilled with three faucet holes, so it accepts a single-hole modern faucet or a widespread set. It can also sit on top of a vanity, and the stone is suitable for bathroom or kitchen use.

Installation
Plan the wall and the faucet together
Solid marble is heavy, and the 36 inch sink is heavier still, so the wall needs blocking between the studs at the mounting height before the sink goes up. That work is easiest while the wall is open. Decide the faucet at the same stage: the drilled holes set where the faucet sits, and the supply lines and drain should be run to match. If the sink goes on a vanity instead, the top must be flat, level and strong enough to carry the stone, and the sink is set in silicone. A professional installer is strongly recommended for leveling, sealing and a secure wall mount.

Care
Calacatta Viola is a porous calcite marble, and a polished surface shows etching from acids more readily than a matte one. Sealing helps keep moisture and stains out, and how often it is resealed depends on use and on how much water the sink sees.
