Calacatta White, polished inside, rough outside
This round vessel sink is hand-carved from Calacatta White marble quarried in Turkey. It measures 16 inches in diameter and 5 inches high, and it carries two finishes: a polished interior and a rough, textured exterior. The stone is a luminous white with subtle gray veining, and each sink arrives with its own veining pattern, so no two are the same. It can sit above the counter as a vessel sink or be mounted below it as an undermount.
Design
Two finishes in one bowl
The contrast of finishes is what defines this sink. Inside, the basin is polished to a glossy, smooth surface that is easy to rinse in daily use and that brightens the white marble and its gray veins. Outside, the stone is left rough and textured, which gives the bowl depth and a handmade character and keeps a white sink from looking cold or clinical. The difference is something both seen and felt: smooth where water runs, raw where hands touch the outside of the bowl. The rim has curved edges with no sharp corners to trap debris. The natural veining shifts in tone and direction from sink to sink, and moderate color variation between pieces is a mark of real marble, not a defect.
Polished interior
A glossy, smooth basin that is easy to rinse and shows the white of the marble.
Rough exterior
A textured outside that gives the bowl depth and a handmade feel.
Where to use it
For powder rooms and guest baths
Vessel sinks show best where design impact matters most, and a powder room or guest bathroom is the natural home for this bowl. On the vanity, it becomes the visual anchor of the room, and the rough exterior invites a closer look. At 16 inches across and 5 inches high, it has presence without taking over the counter and still gives a practical basin for everyday use. The white marble suits contemporary, traditional, transitional and modern bathrooms, and pairs with brass, nickel or black faucets. The 4 cm drain hole takes standard drain fittings, so no special plumbing parts are needed.

Installation
Above the counter or below it
Set above the counter, the bowl needs a flat, level, strong top, a drain hole cut to line up with the 4 cm drain, and a bead of silicone beneath it. It then stands 5 inches above the counter, so the faucet must reach over the rim: a tall vessel faucet or a wall-mounted spout. As an undermount, the counter is cut to an opening sized to the bowl and the sink is fixed and sealed to its underside, with a standard deck faucet behind. Solid marble is heavy in both cases. Choose the faucet and the mounting before the counter is cut.

Care
Calacatta White is a porous calcite marble, so acids can etch the polished interior and strong pigments can stain the white stone. Sealing helps it resist water and stains, and how often it is resealed depends on use.
