Carrara White marble, a polished round bowl
This round vessel sink is carved from a single block of Carrara White marble quarried in Turkey and finished by hand. Pale gray veining runs across a white ground, and because the pattern comes from the stone itself, no two sinks are the same. Along with the veining, each bowl carries the small traits of natural marble: slight color variation, minor pits and flecks of minerals that give the surface depth. The bowl measures 16 inches in diameter and 6 inches high, and it is polished inside and out.
Design
White marble with gray veins
The polished finish gives the marble a bright sheen that catches light from every angle through the day and makes the gray veining stand out against the white. Every curve of the bowl has been shaped, every edge smoothed and every surface polished before the sink leaves the workshop. The edges are curved and the walls run smoothly into the basin, so water does not pool on the surface and there are no corners where it can stand. The light color and soft veining keep a bathroom feeling open and bright, which helps a small room appear larger. The pale gray lines read as classic rather than trendy, and Carrara White works in modern, traditional and transitional bathrooms alike. Mounted above the counter, the bowl shows its full sculptural shape rather than hiding it below the counter line.

Where to use it
Sized for a standard counter
At 16 inches across, the bowl fits comfortably on a standard bathroom counter without overwhelming it. It is generous enough to be practical for daily washing and compact enough for a powder room. The white marble pairs with wood, painted cabinetry and stone counters, and with warm or cool metal fittings. The 4 cm drain hole fits a standard vessel drain and plumbing configuration, so no special drain hardware is needed.

Installation
Set on a flat, strong counter
The sink mounts above the counter. Solid marble is heavy, so the counter must be flat, level and strong enough to carry it. A single hole is cut in the counter to line up with the 4 cm drain, and the bowl is set in silicone, with a careful seal around the drain. Because the rim stands 6 inches above the counter, the faucet must reach over it: a tall vessel faucet on the deck or a wall-mounted spout. Professional installation is recommended, given the weight of the stone and so the support and the drain seal are done properly.

Care
Carrara White is a calcite marble, so it is porous, and acidic or abrasive substances can etch or dull the polished surface. Sealing makes the marble resistant to staining from toothpaste, soap and cosmetics, and how often it is resealed depends on use, often about once a year.
