Product Description
Cemento Couture Sand is a 2x2 matte porcelain mosaic colored in warm beige. Its concrete-inspired face has an underlying stone character, creating a neutral surface with more mineral presence than a flat, uniform beige.
Numerous small squares establish a close-set pattern that reads clearly across a backsplash, wall, or bathroom floor. The matte finish softens reflections, helping the warm color remain steady under changing room light. V2 shade variation means neighboring pieces show gentle differences rather than dramatic contrast. Approved applications cover backsplashes, residential interior walls, shower walls and floors, and bathroom floors and walls.
Absorption is limited to 0.5%, placing this mosaic in the impervious porcelain category, so very little water enters the body. At 425 pounds or more, its breaking strength clears the 250-pound ANSI minimum for floor tile by a wide margin. Mohs hardness measures 7, providing resistance to scratches caused by grit and sand. A wet DCOF of at least 0.42 satisfies the ANSI A326.3 level for indoor floors exposed to water. It also carries Class A chemical resistance, frost resistance, and thermal shock resistance.
Sheets are the sales unit, and each one covers 0.97 square foot. The 10-piece box weighs 38 pounds. Sand is available in a 24x24 tile and 3x12 bullnose, with Smoke matte and Atmosphere matte offered in this 2x2 format.
