Golden Sienna travertine, a polished V
This vessel sink is handcrafted from Golden Sienna travertine quarried in Turkey and carved into a tapered, V-shaped cone. Each piece is carved individually, so no two sinks are identical. The stone's warm golden and orange tones give a bathroom a Mediterranean warmth, and the conical form gives the vanity an architectural focal point. It measures 16 inches in diameter and 6 inches high.
Design
A tapered cone with a high polish
The sides of the bowl taper in a V toward the base, a curved profile that guides water down to the drain and stands out against neutral or colored walls alike. The finish is polished inside and out. Polish catches and reflects light through the day and gives the travertine a smooth, finished face while keeping the veining and character of the stone. The rim is curved, with no sharp edges to chip. The walls are 2 to 3 cm thick, carved from a single piece. Moderate variation in color, veining and finish from one sink to the next is normal, and that variation confirms the natural origin of the stone.

Where to use it
Warm color, flexible mounting
At 16 inches across, the sink holds attention without overwhelming a standard bathroom layout. The warm color suits transitional bathrooms especially well. The sink is listed for above-counter or undermount installation. On top of the counter, it works with a tall vessel faucet or a wall-mounted spout. The 4 cm drain hole accepts standard pop-up drain assemblies, so it connects easily to existing plumbing.

Installation
On the counter or beneath it
Solid travertine is heavy, so the counter must be flat, level and strong. As a vessel, the bowl sits over a hole cut to match its 4 cm drain and is set in silicone, and the faucet must reach over a rim 6 inches above the counter. As an undermount, the counter cutout is sized to the sink and the bowl is supported from below. Decide both before the counter is fabricated.

This sink is made to order on two schedules: the 3 to 4 week option ships sooner, while the 8 to 14 week option is the lower-priced choice. Both are the same polished bowl in the same size. Care
Travertine is a porous calcite stone, so acids can etch the polished surface, and soap scum and mineral deposits can build up if left. Sealing keeps it water-resistant, and how often it is resealed depends on use, typically once or twice a year.
