Honey beige onyx with a hand split face
This vessel sink is hand carved from honey beige onyx quarried in Turkey. Every piece is cut from its own block of stone, so no two sinks are identical, and each one carries its own pattern of veining and tone. It measures 13 inches wide, 16 inches long and 5.5 inches high, a compact size that fits on a standard vanity and still gives the counter a clear focal point. The interior is polished smooth and the exterior is split by hand, so the sink pairs a glossy basin with a raw, textured outside.
Design

The defining feature of this piece is the contrast built into it. Inside, the basin is polished and curves gently down to the drain, with no tight corners where soap scum can build up. Outside, the stone is split by hand, leaving a rough, chiseled texture that shows the natural grain of the onyx. That texture is not wear. It is deliberate work that gives the sink depth and catches the light from across the bathroom. Onyx is a translucent stone, and its honey tones turn warmer when light passes through the thinner edges. Delicate veining runs through the beige, sometimes with subtle gray-blue undertones. Color shifts and changes in the split texture from one sink to the next are part of the stone, and moderate variation between pieces is normal.

Where to use it
A small vessel for a warm palette
The honey beige color sits well in traditional bathrooms, and it adapts to transitional and contemporary rooms without demanding a particular style. It looks at home on a light wood vanity, next to warm brass fittings, or on a natural stone counter where the two stones echo each other. At 13 by 16 inches, the bowl leaves counter space free on a narrow vanity in a powder room or guest bath. Because it sits on top of the counter, it adds height to the vanity and makes the sink the first thing seen in the room. The 4 cm drain hole takes standard plumbing without adapters.

Installation
Set it on a level counter
Solid onyx is heavy for its size, so the counter must be flat, level and strong. A drain hole is cut through the counter to line up with the 4 cm drain, and the sink is set in silicone. Because the bowl stands 5.5 inches above the counter, the faucet must reach over the rim, which means a tall deck-mounted vessel faucet or a wall-mounted spout. Choose the faucet before the counter is cut so the holes and supply lines are planned together.

Care
Onyx is a porous calcite stone, so acidic liquids such as citrus or vinegar can etch the polished interior, and minerals in hard water can leave spots if left to dry. Periodic resealing keeps moisture out, and how often it is needed depends on how much the sink is used.
