A tapered bowl in light beige travertine
This vessel sink is carved by hand from light beige travertine quarried in Turkey. Its profile is conical: the sides taper in a V toward the drain, so the bowl looks lighter on the counter than a round basin of the same size. It measures 16 inches in diameter and 6 inches high. No two sinks carry identical veining or color, so each one is its own piece.
Design
A V profile, two finishes
The tapered geometry does practical work: water is guided down the sloping walls toward the drain instead of collecting at the edges, which means less standing water and less mineral buildup. The interior is honed, a smooth, matte surface that is pleasant to the hand and practical to clean. The exterior is sandblasted, a fine, even texture that contrasts with the smooth inside and keeps water spots and fingerprints from showing on the outer wall. The stone itself is a warm light beige with soft natural veining, and it develops a subtle patina over the years. The walls are 2 to 3 cm thick. Moderate color variation between pieces is normal for travertine, and every bowl differs a little in tone and pattern.
Honed interior

A fine texture on the outside that hides water spots and fingerprints.
Where to use it
Bathroom, kitchen or bar
The sink is listed for both bathroom and kitchen use. Its compact footprint suits powder rooms, primary baths and guest bathrooms without overwhelming a small vanity, and in a kitchen or bar it works as a small prep sink. The light beige tone fits modern minimal rooms, rustic and traditional bathrooms and transitional schemes. It pairs well with satin metal faucets, warm wood counters and neutral stone backsplashes, and it stands out against a darker counter. The 4 cm drain hole is compatible with most standard drain fittings.

Installation
On the counter or under it
The sink can be installed above the counter or as an undermount. Above the counter, it sits on a flat, level surface over a drain hole cut to match the 4 cm drain, and it is set in silicone; because it rises 6 inches, it needs a tall vessel faucet or a wall-mounted spout. As an undermount, the counter cutout must be sized to the bowl's rim, and the sink is supported from below. In both cases the stone is heavy, so the counter and cabinet need to be solid. A professional installer is recommended.

Both are the same 16 inch bowl, honed inside and sandblasted outside. Custom dimensions, shapes and finishes are also available. Care
Travertine is a porous calcite stone, so acids such as citrus or vinegar can etch it, which matters more in a kitchen. Sealing helps protect both finishes, and how often it is resealed depends on use, often once a year.
