This stand-alone pedestal sink is carved from a single block of Lilac marble quarried in Turkey. The stone combines white, gray and purple veining, a rare color mix that gives the sink a soft lavender cast and a lot of movement. Basin and column are one solid piece, polished all over, so the sink needs no cabinet or vanity to support it. It measures 16 inches wide, 16 inches long and 33.5 inches high, a compact footprint for a fixture with this much presence. It is genuine marble, not a surface that imitates it, and the color comes from the stone itself.
Design
A round column of colored marble
The round pedestal rises in a clean, cylindrical silhouette, so the sink reads as a sculpture rather than as plumbing. A polished finish deepens the color of the stone and reflects light across the veining, which makes the purple and gray tones stand out against the white. The lavender undertones add warmth and personality to a bathroom, in line with the move toward natural, warm-toned stone. Because the sink is hand carved from a solid block rather than assembled from parts, there are no joints between the basin and the column. Plan the floor and plumbing
A stand-alone marble sink rests its full weight on the floor, so the floor must be level and strong enough to carry solid stone; this is worth confirming before delivery, particularly on an upper floor. The drain and supply lines can come out of the wall behind the sink or up through the floor beneath it, and they should be positioned to sit within the pedestal's footprint. Most pedestal sinks are paired with a wall-mounted faucet, so its height and position belong in the same plumbing plan. A professional installer is recommended to move the sink into place and make a clean drain connection.

Care
Lilac marble is a porous calcite stone with a polished surface. Acidic liquids can etch the polish and strong pigments can stain it if they sit, so the stone is protected with a sealer, and how often it is resealed depends on how much the sink is used.
