Rectangular marble dining table, eased edge
This rectangular dining table is made in Turkey from first-class natural marble. The top measures 95 inches long and 43 inches wide, and the table stands 30 inches high. Two stones are offered, Toros Black and Carrara White, each on a base of black metal or walnut wood. It is a long table, made for weeknight dinners and for hosting larger gatherings, and its rectangular shape makes good use of the room's length.
Design
A thick polished slab
The top is a substantial 1 1/4 inch thick slab, polished, with eased edges. The dense structure of marble is what allows it to take a polish like this, and the surface catches light across its full length. Eased edges take away sharp corners while keeping a clean, refined line. Every slab is naturally unique, and its veining and colour variation make each table one of a kind. Carrara White brings a bright white ground with soft gray veining. Toros Black gives a deep, dark top with natural veining. The two bases change the character again: black metal for a crisp, modern outline, walnut wood for warmth.

Delivery and setup
Delivering a 95 inch top
A marble top this long and thick is very heavy, so plan the route from the door to the dining room in advance and measure doorways, stairs and turns. Two or more people are needed to carry and place it. The floor must be level so the base bears evenly and the top sits flat. Soft pads under the legs protect the floor, and the table should be set down rather than slid into position.

Care
Both stones are calcite marbles with a polished surface. Marble is porous, so citrus juice, vinegar and wine can etch the polish and lead to loss of shine, and pigments can stain it if left to sit. Sealing helps, and how often the top is resealed depends on how heavily the table is used.
