Polished beige travertine, two ways to set
This round sink is hand-carved from beige travertine quarried in Turkey. It measures 16 inches in diameter and 6.5 inches tall, a size that gives a vanity a clear centerpiece without crowding it. Each sink is carved individually, so the natural color variation, pitting and mineral veining are never repeated from one piece to the next. The interior and exterior are both polished, which brings out the warmth and depth of the stone, and the color deepens further when water runs across it. The rim is self-rimming, so the same bowl can sit on top of the counter as a vessel or be dropped into a cutout.
Design
A warm, polished round bowl
Polishing gives the travertine a smooth, glossy face that catches light and shows the movement in the stone. The beige is warm without turning yellow and neutral without feeling cold, so it settles into most color palettes. It pairs as easily with plain white cabinetry as with dark wood or contemporary gray. The rim is smooth and curved, with no tight corners to trap debris, which keeps daily cleaning simple. The walls are 2 to 3 cm thick, and the bowl is carved from a single piece of stone. Travertine is a natural material with moderate color variation, so the tone, pitting and veining of each sink will differ.
Polished inside and out
A glossy finish on the basin and the exterior that brings out the warmth of the stone.
Self-rimming edge
A curved rim that lets the bowl sit on the counter or drop into it.
Where to use it
Vessel or drop-in, one bowl
The self-rimming design gives real flexibility. Set above the counter, the bowl becomes a sculptural statement and the whole carved exterior stays in view. Dropped into a cutout, it sits lower and closer to the counter for a more integrated look. Either way, the stone suits modern bathrooms, transitional rooms and spa-like retreats. The 4 cm drain hole is a standard size and has no overflow feature.

Installation
Choose the mounting first
Decide how the bowl will be set before the counter is cut. As a vessel, it sits on a flat, level counter over a drain hole cut to line up with the 4 cm drain, and it is bedded in silicone; the faucet must then reach over the rim, so a tall vessel faucet or a wall-mounted spout is needed. As a drop-in, the counter needs a cutout sized to the bowl so the rim rests on the countertop, sealed with silicone, and a standard-height faucet can work. In both cases the counter must carry the weight of solid stone. Professional installation is recommended.

Care
Travertine is naturally porous, which gives it warmth and character, and acids such as vinegar or citrus can etch its polished surface. It should be sealed on arrival, and how often it is resealed after that depends on use, typically once a year.
