An 18 inch round in beige travertine
This round vessel sink is carved by hand from a single block of beige travertine quarried in Turkey. It is 18 inches in diameter and 6 inches high, with the warmth that only natural stone carries. The light beige suits contemporary, spa-inspired and transitional bathrooms, and it ages gently rather than following a passing trend. Each piece has its own patterns and colour variations, so every sink is one of a kind.
Design
Why honed and filled matters
The surface is honed and filled. Filled and honed travertine is a processed version of the natural stone: the open cavities are filled, then the face is ground smooth. Honing gives a matte surface that tones down shine while keeping a clean, contemporary look, and a honed stone is less slippery when wet. Filling seals the natural cavities, so debris does not settle into the surface and the bowl cleans with a soft cloth instead of a brush. The rim is smooth and curved, with no sharp corners. Moderate colour variation and natural vein patterns differ from sink to sink.

Where to use it
Sized for a standard vanity
At 18 inches across and 6 inches high, the bowl sits comfortably on a standard vanity without taking over the counter. It suits primary baths and design-led powder rooms, where the vessel form shows the stone on all sides. The light beige works with oak, walnut and painted cabinets, plaster walls and brass, nickel or black fittings. The 4 cm drain hole takes standard drain fittings, and the bowl pairs with a tall vessel faucet or a wall-mounted spout.

Installation
Set it on a level counter
This is an over-countertop sink. The counter must be flat, level and strong, since solid stone is heavy. A drain hole is cut in the counter to line up with the 4 cm drain, and the bowl is set in silicone. The rim stands 6 inches above the counter, so the faucet has to reach over it: a tall vessel faucet or a wall-mounted spout. Choose the faucet before the counter is cut, and place the bowl so the spout falls near the centre of the basin.

This sink is made to order on two schedules: the 3 to 4 week option ships sooner, while the 8 to 14 week option is the lower-priced choice. Both are the same 18 inch honed and filled bowl. Care
Travertine is a porous calcite stone, so acids and harsh chemicals can etch the honed surface. Filling and sealing reduce how much water and staining the stone takes in, and how often it is resealed depends on use.
