Carrara White marble, a polished half round basin
This sink is carved by hand from Carrara White marble quarried in Turkey. The stone has the soft white background and delicate gray veining that people recognise as Carrara, and because each sink is cut from its own block, no two pieces are identical. It measures 20 inches wide, 24 inches long and 6 inches high, with a half round vessel basin that gives a generous wash area while keeping the outline slim enough to stop water splashing across the vanity. The whole piece is polished, inside and out, and it can be hung on the wall or set on top of a vanity. Where the stone comes from shapes its density, porosity and character, and this one is a dense Turkish marble chosen for daily bathroom use.
Design
A polished half round in white marble
The polished finish does two jobs. Inside the basin, the glossy surface sheds water and resists spotting, which keeps daily cleaning simple. Outside, the same polish brings out the natural luster of the marble and turns the sink into a design element rather than a plain fixture. The curved edges leave no sharp corners where debris can collect, and the half round form keeps the profile soft from every angle. Every sink is carved by hand, so the gray veining runs differently across each one. The exact pattern, tone and spacing of the veins will vary from piece to piece, and moderate color variation is normal for this stone. That variation is the point of choosing marble: the sink on the wall is the only one with that exact pattern.

Where to use it
On the wall or on the vanity
Hung on the wall, the sink floats above the floor and frees up the room a vanity cabinet would take. That is a real advantage in a powder room or a smaller bathroom where every inch matters, and the open space underneath makes the room feel lighter. The same sink can also sit on top of a vanity, where it reads as a vessel bowl and the counter around it stays usable. The white marble and gray veining suit a modern bathroom, and they sit just as easily beside wood, plaster or painted walls. At 20 by 24 inches the basin is roomy enough for a primary bath without overwhelming a smaller layout. The 4 cm drain opening takes standard drain fittings, so the plumbing does not need to be adapted.

Installation
Plan the wall or the counter
Solid marble is heavy, so the mounting surface matters. For a wall installation, the wall needs blocking between the studs at the mounting height, ideally added while the wall is open, and the sink is hung on brackets fixed into that backing. A wall-mounted faucet works well with this layout and should be planned early, so the supply lines can be run to the right height. On a vanity, the top must be flat, level and strong enough to carry the stone, a drain hole is cut to line up with the 4 cm drain, and the sink is set in silicone. The faucet must then reach over the 6 inch rim, either as a tall deck-mounted model or from the wall. A professional installer is recommended in both cases, for the weight and so the drain and supply lines line up cleanly.

Care
Carrara White is a calcite marble with a polished surface. Like all marble it is a porous stone, so acidic liquids such as vinegar or citrus can etch it, and sealing slows how quickly liquids are absorbed. How often it is resealed depends on how much the bathroom is used, typically about once a year.
