New York White Marble Polished Round Vessel Sink
Thank you, your request is in.
Our team will review the details and get back to you within one business day.

Marble · Above-Countertop sink
This round vessel sink is carved by hand from New York White marble quarried in Turkey. The stone has a white base with soft gray veining, and every block carries its own pattern, so no two sinks are alike. It measures 12 inches in diameter and 5 inches high, with walls 2 to 3 cm thick, and the whole bowl is polished inside and out. The sink sits on top of the vanity rather than beneath it, which keeps the full curve of the stone in view and makes the bowl the centerpiece of the counter.

Design
The polished surface gives the marble a high gloss that reflects light and draws out the depth of the veining. On a round bowl that gloss follows the curve all the way around, so the stone looks different from each side of the room. The veining and slight color shifts are not flaws: they are the signature of quarried stone, and they are what separates a carved marble bowl from a cast imitation. The rim is smooth and rounded, and the interior curves down to the drain without corners. Moderate variation in tone and veining between pieces is normal for this marble, so each bowl will differ slightly from the next.

Where to use it
At 12 inches across, this is a compact bowl. It suits a powder room, a guest bath or a narrow vanity where a larger basin would crowd the counter, and it still works well on a wider vanity in a primary bath, where it leaves plenty of open stone or wood around it. The white and gray palette sits comfortably in modern, traditional and transitional rooms, and it pairs as well with satin brass as with polished chrome. On a double vanity, two bowls side by side make a symmetrical pair. The 4 cm drain opening takes standard vessel drain fittings.

Installation
As an above-countertop sink, it is generally quicker to install than a sink set under the counter. There is no large cutout and no reinforcement under the top: the counter needs a single hole for the drain, and the surface must be flat and level so the bowl sits evenly. The sink is set over the drain hole with silicone, and a vessel pop-up drain finishes the connection. Plan the faucet early. A tall vessel faucet on the counter or a wall-mounted faucet both work, as long as the spout reaches over the 5 inch rim toward the center of the bowl. A plumber can connect the drain and supply lines in one visit.

Why we chose it

Made to order
Each of these bowls is made to order from the stone. If 12 inches is too small or too large for the vanity, the same round form can be made in a custom size, and other finishes can be discussed as well. We confirm the details and lead time for each custom piece. To start, contact us with the measurements of the counter and the size of bowl in mind.
New York White is a calcite marble, so it is a porous stone that acids can etch and strong pigments can stain if left to sit. A sealer helps keep moisture out of the stone, and how often it is resealed depends on how much the sink is used, typically at least once a year in a busy bathroom.
