New York marble, carved as an oval
This sculptural vessel sink is carved by hand from New York marble quarried in Turkey. It is an oval bowl, 16 inches wide, 26 inches long and 5 inches high, with natural veining running through a white ground that no factory process can copy. The surface is polished, so the stone catches light and shows its depth and movement, and the effect shifts through the day as the light in the room changes. Because it sits on top of the counter, the whole carved form stays in view. Each sink is a single expression of the block it came from: color shifts, veining and small differences in texture mean no two bowls match.
Design
An oval with sculptural edges
The form is organic rather than geometric. The oval basin flows into sculptural edges, and the curved surfaces leave no crevices for soap scum to settle in, which keeps daily cleaning straightforward. The marble walls are 2 to 3 cm thick, a solid section that gives the bowl a substantial, carved feel. The polish brings out the white ground and the gray movement of the veining, and it reflects light so the bowl reads clearly from across the room. Hand carving means each piece carries the marks of human skill alongside the complexity of the stone. Moderate color variation between sinks is normal for this marble, so tone and veining will differ from one bowl to the next.

The generous oval basin gives ample space for washing, and at 26 inches long it holds its own on a primary suite vanity while still suiting a powder room with a wider counter. The sculptural edges and organic form sit comfortably in contemporary, transitional and traditional bathrooms. Brass fixtures add warmth against the white stone, matte black gives a more modern edge, and polished chrome keeps the look clean and simple. In either a primary bath or a powder room, the bowl becomes the piece the rest of the room is planned around. The 4 cm drain opening accommodates standard plumbing.

Installation
On the counter, over the drain
The sink arrives ready for standard vanity integration. It sits on top of the counter, which must be flat, level and strong enough for solid marble. A drain hole is cut in the counter to line up with the 4 cm drain, and the bowl is set in silicone. Since the rim stands above the counter, the faucet must reach over it, so a tall vessel faucet or a wall-mounted spout is the usual choice; settle that before the counter is cut. Professional installation is recommended to ensure proper support and alignment.
