A round bowl of Noce travertine
This round vessel sink is carved from Noce brown travertine quarried in Turkey. Noce is a warm, earthy travertine with layers of chestnut, tan and darker brown, and the surface of this sink is filled and polished. It measures 16 inches in diameter and 6 inches high, a circular bowl that sits on top of the counter and brings natural stone texture to a powder room or a full bath.
Design
Filled, polished and round
The natural pores of the travertine are filled before the stone is polished, which gives the bowl a smooth, closed surface with a soft shine. The circular form keeps the outline simple, so the color and banding of the stone carry the design. Each sink is finished individually, and moderate color variation between pieces is normal: the exact pattern of the brown layers will differ from sink to sink. The warm tone works in modern, transitional and traditional bathrooms alike.
Filled and polished
Pores filled level, then polished to a smooth, light-catching surface.
Simple round form
A 16" circle that lets the stone's banding take the lead.
Where to use it
Bathroom vanity or bar counter
The sink is suited to a bathroom vanity and can also serve a kitchen bar or prep counter where a round basin is enough. A 6 inch height gives the bowl useful depth for washing, and the 4 cm drain hole takes a standard vessel drain. The 2 to 3 cm stone wall makes it a solid, substantial piece.

Installation
Planning an above-counter sink
This is an above-counter vessel sink. The countertop needs to be flat, level and strong enough to carry solid stone, with a drain hole cut to match. The sink is set in a bead of silicone. Because the rim stands 6 inches above the counter, a tall vessel faucet or a wall-mounted faucet is the usual pairing; settle the faucet before the counter is drilled.

Care
Travertine is a porous calcite stone, and filling the surface does not change that. Acidic liquids such as vinegar can etch the polish, and liquids left to sit can be absorbed. The sink is protected with a stone sealer, and how often it is resealed depends on how much it is used.
