Red travertine in a round bowl
This round vessel sink is sculpted individually from a single block of red travertine quarried in Turkey. The stone has warm, rosy undertones with darker burgundy veining and touches of gold, which gives the bowl real visual depth on a vanity. It measures 16 inches in diameter and 6 inches high, with walls 2 to 3 cm thick. Because each sink is carved from its own block, the veining and colour are never repeated, and no two sinks are identical.
Design
A honed, filled red bowl
The finish is honed and filled. Honing leaves a smooth, matte face that does not show fingerprints and water spots the way a glossy surface does, and it suits the earthy colour of the stone. Filling closes the natural pores of the travertine, and the stone is filled and sealed during production, which reduces staining and moisture absorption compared with unsealed travertine. The bowl is rounded inside, with curved edges at the rim, so there are no hard corners where water can pool. There is no overflow, which keeps the outline of the bowl clean and sculptural. The natural variation between sinks is not a flaw: moderate differences in shade and veining are normal for this stone and show that each piece was cut from real travertine.

Where to use it
Warm colour on the counter
The warm red and golden undertones sit well in contemporary, minimalist bathrooms and just as well in transitional, traditional, Mediterranean or eclectic rooms. Against white or gray counters it becomes the focal point of the vanity; next to wood, terracotta or warm stone it blends in. At 16 inches across and 6 inches high, the bowl has a substantial presence without crowding the vanity, and it leaves room for a soap dish or tray beside it. It sits on top of the counter, so the cabinet below keeps its storage space. The 4 cm drain opening takes a standard drain assembly without special adapters, and the bowl pairs with a tall deck faucet or a wall-mounted spout.

Installation
Set it on a flat counter
This sink is installed over the countertop. Solid travertine is heavy, so the counter must be flat, level and strong enough to carry it. A drain hole is cut in the counter to line up with the 4 cm drain, and the bowl is set in silicone to hold it in place and seal the joint. Because the rim stands 6 inches above the counter, the faucet must reach over it: a tall deck-mounted vessel faucet or a wall-mounted spout. Choose the faucet before the counter is cut, so the faucet hole or the supply lines in the wall can be placed to match. With the counter ready, a plumber can set the bowl and connect the drain in a short visit.
