Handcrafted Grey Seagrass Fossil Limestone Vessel Bathroom Sink With Natural Shape
Thank you, your request is in.
Our team will review the details and get back to you within one business day.

Limestone · Over-Countertop sink
This vessel sink is carved from a single piece of gray Seagrass Fossil limestone, quarried and handcrafted in Turkey. The stone holds natural color variation and fossil patterning, so every sink is different from the next in both its markings and its outline. It measures 18 inches wide, 22 inches long and 5 inches high. The interior is polished smooth for daily use, and the exterior is split by hand, giving a raw, chiseled surface that catches light and shadow through the day.
Design
The shape follows the stone rather than a template. The outline is irregular, close to a rectangle but with curved edges and soft corners, so the sink reads as a carved object instead of a manufactured bowl. Inside, the basin is polished, which keeps the surface smooth and simple to clean. Outside, the hand split face leaves the stone rough and textured, showing the grain and fossil detail of the limestone. That dual finish solves a common trade-off with stone sinks: a textured surface that looks good but is hard to clean. Here the texture stays on the outside, and the part that holds water stays smooth. Moderate color variation between pieces is normal, and the pattern of each sink is its own.

Where to use it
The soft gray and organic outline suit a farmhouse bathroom, and the sink sits just as comfortably in contemporary, Mediterranean and minimalist rooms. Setting it on a wood slab vanity, a stone countertop or a concrete base brings out the contrast between materials and gives the vanity a layered look. At 18 by 22 inches it is sized for a primary bath or a guest room, with a generous basin that leaves room for different faucet styles and finishes. The 4 cm drain hole takes standard drain connections.

Installation
The sink sits on top of the counter. Solid limestone is heavy, so the counter must be flat, level and strong enough to carry it. A drain hole is cut through the counter to line up with the 4 cm drain, and the sink is set in silicone. Because the bowl rises 5 inches above the counter, it needs a tall deck-mounted faucet or a wall-mounted faucet to reach over the rim and to look in proportion. Pick the faucet before the counter is cut, so the holes and supply lines are planned together.

Why we chose it

Made to order
This sink is made to order on two schedules. The 3 to 4 week option ships sooner, and the 8 to 14 week option is the lower-priced choice. Both are the same 18 by 22 inch sink with a polished interior and a hand split exterior. For architects and designers with a specific layout, custom dimensions, alternative shapes and different surface finishes can be made. To start a custom order, contact us with the measurements of the project.
Limestone is a porous calcite stone, so acidic products such as lemon, vinegar or harsh cleaners can etch the polished interior. Sealing keeps water out of the stone, and how often it is resealed depends on use, typically about once a year.
