Sirius Gray marble, a polished apron basin
This rectangular sink is carved from a single block of Sirius Gray marble quarried in Turkey. It measures 24 inches long, 15 inches wide and 5 inches high, with a farmhouse-style apron form and a polished finish. The stone is gray with natural veining, and since every block is different, no two sinks share the same pattern. It sits above the counter, where the marble is visible from every angle, and it works on a bathroom vanity or in a kitchen.
Design
A farmhouse form in gray marble
The shape takes its cue from the farmhouse apron sink: a clean rectangle with a flat front face, scaled to sit on a vanity or counter. It is a modern take on that form, with straight lines and no added ornament. The polished finish gives the gray marble a reflective, luminous surface that brightens the area around the vanity and brings out the movement of the veining. Gray marble also hides light water spotting better than a white stone, so the basin looks clean between wipes. The sink is carved from one block, so there are no joints. Over time the surface develops a soft patina, the same character that older marble counters show. Moderate color variation between pieces is normal for this marble, and the veining of each sink will differ.

Where to use it
Bathroom vanity or kitchen counter
At 24 by 15 inches and 5 inches high, the basin has real counter presence without being so shallow that it is only decorative. In a bathroom, it suits a farmhouse vanity in wood, a minimalist room with floating shelves, or a transitional space that mixes classic and modern pieces. In a kitchen, it works as a prep or bar sink, where the gray stone sits well beside wood, white cabinetry and brass or black hardware. Because it sits above the counter, the stone and its carving stay in view instead of being hidden under the counter. The 1.5 inch drain hole works with standard pop-up drain assemblies, with no custom plumbing needed.

Installation
A flat counter and a tall faucet
The sink installs above the counter. Solid marble is heavy, so the counter must be flat, level and strong enough to carry it. A drain hole is cut in the counter to line up with the sink's drain, and the basin is set on a bead of silicone. Because the basin stands 5 inches above the counter, the faucet must reach over the rim: a tall deck-mounted faucet or a wall-mounted spout. Choose the faucet before the counter is cut, so the holes line up, and use a professional installer for the weight.

Care
Sirius Gray is a porous calcite marble with a polished surface. Acidic spills can etch the polish, and sealing makes staining less likely. How often it is resealed depends on use, typically about once a year.
