This console is handcrafted from Toros Black marble quarried in Turkey and polished to a high gloss. The top is 40 inches long and 15 inches wide, set at 32 inches high on rounded, arched legs. It was designed for entryways and narrow hallways, where a slim piece has to carry real presence without taking over the floor. A specialist stone workshop shapes and finishes each console by hand, so the veining and tone of every piece belong to its own block of stone. The result sits between a minimal modern outline and the depth that only natural marble gives, and it avoids the generic feel of mass-produced furniture.

Design

Arched round legs, black gloss

The legs are the signature of this design. They are cylindrical and arched, a soft rounded form that supports the top without the heavy, blocky look of square supports. That curve catches light differently from a straight edge, adding subtle depth to the base as the light in the hall changes through the day. Toros Black is a calcite marble with a polished face. It is a porous natural stone, so acidic drinks and cleaners can etch the gloss, and spills left to sit can mark it.
