A small round travertine bowl
This round vessel sink is carved by hand from light beige travertine quarried in Turkey. At 12.5 inches in diameter and 6 inches high, it is a compact bowl for a small vanity, the kind of sink that suits a powder room or a modest primary bath where a larger basin would crowd the counter. Each piece is carved individually, so the veining and color variations belong to that sink alone. The stone is naturally quarried and solid all the way through, and it has been used in bathrooms for centuries because it wears well and gains character as it ages.
Design
Honed, filled and softly rounded
The finish is honed and filled. Honing gives the stone a refined, tactile surface, smooth enough for easy cleaning but matte, so the organic character of the travertine stays visible. Filling closes the natural pits of the stone and leaves a closed, cleaner surface than unfilled travertine. The edges are curved, which makes the bowl easier to wipe out and catches the light softly. Light beige travertine works in contemporary minimal bathrooms and traditional rooms alike, and it reads as a calm, warm beige under most lighting, without the strong color shifts that darker stones can show under different bulbs. Moderate color variation from one bowl to the next is normal.
Honed and filled
A smooth matte surface with the natural pits of the travertine filled.
Curved edges
Soft, rounded edges that are easy to clean and gentle to the touch.
Where to use it
Sized for a small vanity
The 6 inch height and 12.5 inch diameter make this bowl a good fit for powder rooms and compact bathrooms where an undermount sink would feel cramped. It mounts on top of the vanity, so the whole carved bowl stays on view and only a drain hole is needed in the counter. The 4 cm drain hole connects to standard drain fittings. The sink arrives as the bowl alone: the drain assembly, faucet and any mounting ring or overflow parts are chosen separately, which leaves the finish of the fittings open to match the rest of the room. Because it is handcrafted, small variations in the dimensions are normal.

Installation
Silicone, not putty
Solid travertine is heavy for its size, so the vanity top must be flat, level and strong. A drain hole is cut in the counter to line up with the 4 cm drain, and the bowl is set on 100% silicone sealant; plumber's putty can stain natural stone and is not used. Because the bowl stands 6 inches above the counter, the faucet must reach over the rim: a tall deck-mounted vessel faucet or a wall-mounted spout. Choose the faucet and the drain assembly before the counter is drilled, so they suit a bowl of this smaller size.

Care
Travertine is a naturally porous calcite stone, so acids such as vinegar and lemon juice can etch it permanently, and periodic resealing keeps moisture and stains out. How often it is resealed depends on use.
