Tundra Gray marble with an apron front
This apron-front sink is carved by hand from solid Tundra Gray marble quarried in Turkey. It brings the farmhouse form to a compact size: 19.5 inches long, 16 inches wide and 5 inches high. Each piece is handcrafted individually, so the veining, the color variation and the character of the stone are unique to every sink. The finish is honed inside and out, and the exposed front panel makes the sink the visual center of the counter.
Design
A soft gray, honed matte
Tundra Gray is a neutral, cool gray marble with fine natural veining. The honed finish gives it a smooth matte surface that is less slippery when wet and shows the grain of the stone without glare. The edges are curved rather than sharp, which makes the sink easy to keep clean and leaves no corners where debris collects. The neutral gray works with modern, contemporary, traditional and transitional kitchens. Moderate color variation between pieces is normal.

Where to use it
Farmhouse style at a compact size
The compact footprint brings the farmhouse look to a kitchen where counter space matters, such as a prep or bar sink, and it suits a bathroom as well. The top-mount apron design brings the basin closer to the front edge of the counter, so the user stands nearer to the sink and reaches less, which eases strain on the arms and lower back during daily tasks. The 6.5 cm drain hole accommodates standard plumbing fixtures.

Installation
Set it on a strong counter
The sink installs over the countertop, so the counter must be flat, level and strong enough to carry solid marble, which is heavy. A hole is cut in the counter to line up with the 6.5 cm drain, and the sink is set in silicone with the apron facing out at the counter edge. Because the rim sits above the counter, the faucet must reach over it: a tall deck-mounted faucet or a wall-mounted spout.

Care
Tundra Gray is a porous calcite marble, and acids such as vinegar or citrus can etch the honed surface. Sealing protects it against staining, and how often it is resealed depends on use, often once a year.
