Tundra Gray marble, 40 inches long
This wall-mount vanity sink is carved by hand from solid Tundra Gray marble quarried in Turkey. The stone is a cool gray with lighter veining running through it, and every block is different, so no two sinks are identical. It measures 40 inches long, 16 inches wide and 5 inches high, with walls 2 to 3 cm thick. Hung on the wall, it reads as a floating, architectural piece and leaves the floor below open.
Design
A honed, matte finish
The surface is honed to a matte finish rather than a gloss. It feels smooth and soft under the hand, it shows fewer fingerprints and water spots, and small marks from daily use blend into the stone instead of standing out as they would on a shiny surface. The gray develops a gentle patina over the years, which many owners see as part of the appeal of real marble. The long rectangular form gives a wide basin with clean lines. Each sink is finished by hand, and moderate variation in tone and veining between pieces is normal for this stone.

Where to use it
Room to spread out, floor left clear
At 40 inches long and 16 inches deep, the sink gives plenty of basin and ledge space while staying shallow enough for a narrower bathroom. It suits a primary bath or a larger powder room in a modern or transitional style. Because it mounts on the wall, there is no vanity cabinet on the floor, so the room looks larger and the floor is easy to clean. The 4 cm drain hole takes standard plumbing fittings.

Installation
Blocking, brackets and a wall faucet
Solid marble is heavy, so the wall must be reinforced before this sink is hung. Blocking between the studs at the mounting height is easiest to add while the wall is open. The sink is supported on concealed steel brackets that sit behind the rim, which keeps the floating look clean. Plan the faucet early: a wall-mounted faucet is typical for a sink of this kind, and its supply lines and the drain position should be set before the wall is closed. A professional installer is recommended for a secure, level mount.

This sink is made to order on two schedules. The 3 to 4 week option ships sooner, and the 8 to 14 week option is the lower-priced choice. If 40 inches does not fit the wall, the sink can be made in a custom size or finish. To start a custom order, contact us with the measurements of the wall.
Care
Tundra Gray is a calcite marble, so it is porous and acids can etch it, even on a honed surface. It is sealed to resist staining, and how often it is resealed depends on how much the sink is used, typically once a year in a busy bathroom.
