Product Description
Tuxedo Obsidian Black is a 12x24 matte porcelain tile with a solid black appearance and a quiet, nonreflective surface. Its rectangular shape gives the saturated color a measured rhythm, while rectified edges define each piece with crisp geometry. At 9 mm, or 3/8 inch, thick, it belongs to a coordinated line of field tile, mosaics, and trim.
The 12x24 format brings directional structure to bathrooms, kitchens, and living rooms without the broad scale of the larger sizes. A V1 shade rating means pieces remain highly consistent in color, supporting an even black field. This tile is rated for residential and commercial interior walls, shower walls, backsplashes, residential interior floors, light residential floors, and commercial interior floors.
Water absorption of 0.5% or less classifies this porcelain as impervious, meaning it takes up almost no water. Breaking strength is at least 325 pounds, comfortably above the 250-pound ANSI benchmark for floor tile. Its wet DCOF is at least 0.42, meeting ANSI A326.3 for level indoor floors that become wet. The material is also resistant to frost and thermal shock.
It is sold by the box, with pricing shown per square foot. Each 67-pound box contains 8 pieces and covers 15.38 square feet. Coordinating Obsidian Black options include 12x12 and 24x48 field tile, a 2x2 mosaic, and a 4x24 bullnose.
