Product Description
Tuxedo Obsidian Black takes the form of a 12x24 polished porcelain tile with uniform black color and a light-reflective face. Its rectangular outline adds linear movement to the solid-color design, while the polish gives highlights greater visibility against the dark background. The rectified tile is 9 mm, or 3/8 inch, thick.
This mid-size rectangle balances a directional layout with proportions suited to bathroom, kitchen, and living room surfaces. Because the shade rating is V1, color differences between pieces are minimal and the finished area reads as a consistent black plane. The product is rated for residential and commercial interior walls, shower walls, backsplashes, and light residential floors.
No more than 0.5% water absorption places the material in the impervious porcelain category, indicating that very little moisture enters the tile body. Its breaking strength is at least 325 pounds, which clears the 250-pound ANSI baseline for floor tile. Wet DCOF is 0.42 or greater and meets ANSI A326.3 for level indoor flooring exposed to water. Resistance to frost and thermal shock completes the available performance profile.
Each 67-pound box holds 8 tiles and covers 15.38 square feet. The product is sold by the box, although its price is displayed per square foot. Coordinated Obsidian Black pieces include 12x12 tile, 24x24 tile, 3 inch hexagon mosaic, and diamond mosaic.
