Product Description
Tuxedo Obsidian Black comes as a 24x24 matte porcelain tile in a dense, solid black. The square format gives the Tuxedo line a broad geometric presence, and the matte finish limits reflection so the color reads with steady depth. Rectified edges add clean definition, while the body measures 9 mm, or 3/8 inch, thick.
At 24 inches square, each piece covers a generous area and creates a larger visual module across a room. V1 shade variation indicates minimal difference from tile to tile, keeping the black surface controlled rather than mottled. Approved applications include residential and commercial interior floors and walls, light residential floors, shower walls, and backsplashes. Those ratings support bathroom, kitchen, and living room settings.
This impervious porcelain absorbs no more than 0.5% water, so moisture does not readily enter its body. A minimum breaking strength of 325 pounds exceeds the ANSI floor-tile requirement of 250 pounds. The wet DCOF value of 0.42 or higher satisfies ANSI A326.3 criteria for level indoor floors exposed to moisture. Frost resistance and thermal shock resistance are both present.
Boxes are priced by the square foot and contain 4 tiles. One box provides 15.46 square feet and weighs 67 pounds. The Obsidian Black collection also offers 12x24 tile, 24x48 tile, a 3 inch hexagon mosaic, and diamond mosaic.
