Product Description
Tuxedo Obsidian Black in 24x24 polished porcelain tile brings a reflective finish to a broad square of solid black. Light plays across the polished surface while the restrained single-color design keeps the emphasis on scale and geometry. Rectified edges give the 9 mm, or 3/8 inch, tile a clean perimeter.
The 24x24 proportions establish a spacious grid with fewer individual modules than smaller square formats. V1 variation means the Obsidian Black tone stays closely matched from one piece to the next, producing little visual fluctuation. Its approved settings are residential and commercial interior walls, backsplashes, shower walls, and light residential floors, including appropriate surfaces in kitchens, bathrooms, and living rooms.
An absorption rate of 0.5% or less meets the ANSI A137.1 definition of impervious porcelain, so the tile body accepts almost no water. Breaking strength is no lower than 325 pounds, well past the 250-pound ANSI level required for floor tile. At 0.42 or above, the wet DCOF meets ANSI A326.3 for level interior floors subject to moisture. The porcelain is resistant to both frost and thermal shock.
Four pieces are packed in each box, supplying 15.46 square feet at a box weight of 67 pounds. Sales are by the box, with the price presented per square foot. Additional Obsidian Black selections include 12x24 tile, 24x48 tile, 2x2 mosaic, and 4x24 bullnose.
