Calacatta Viola, a 16 inch round vessel
This round vessel sink is carved from a single block of Calacatta Viola marble quarried in Turkey. It measures 16 inches in diameter and 6 inches high, and it sits on top of the vanity as a solid bowl of stone. The marble has a white background with dramatic veining that runs through the bowl, and every sink has its own vein pattern and subtle colour variations. Those differences are the mark of natural stone, not factory inconsistencies. The bowl suits contemporary, transitional and classic bathrooms alike.
Design
A glossy bowl with strong veins
The finish is polished, and that gives the bowl a gleaming surface that catches light and makes the veining stand out clearly against the white. The glossy interior is smooth to the touch, while the outside of the bowl shows the natural character of the stone. A polished surface also resists staining better than a matte one, which makes it more forgiving in everyday use. The round shape is simple and balanced, with curved edges and no corners. Each sink shows its own arrangement of veins, and the marble develops a gentle patina over years of use rather than looking worn.

Where the bowl sits best
As an above-counter vessel, the bowl sits on the vanity for full visual effect, with no undermount cutout to plan. It works with many vanity styles: a floating vanity shows the round form clearly, while a wooden or stone vanity gives a strong contrast with the white marble. At 16 inches across, it leaves space on a single vanity for soap and a towel. The 1.5 inch drain hole takes standard drain fittings.

Installation
Set it on a flat counter
Solid marble is heavy, so the counter must be flat, level and strong enough to carry the bowl. A drain hole is cut in the counter to line up with the sink's drain, and the bowl is set in silicone around its base. The rim stands 6 inches above the counter, so the faucet must reach over it: a tall deck-mounted vessel faucet or a wall-mounted spout. Choose the faucet before the counter is cut so the two holes are planned together.

This sink is made to order on two production schedules. The 3 to 4 week option ships sooner, while the 8 to 14 week option is the lower-priced choice. Care
Calacatta Viola is a calcite marble, so it is a porous stone: acidic cleaners and liquids can etch the polished finish, and pigments can stain it if left. Sealing protects against staining, and how often it is resealed depends on use, often once a year.
