Calacatta Viola for the corner
This corner sink is carved from Calacatta Viola marble quarried in Turkey and made to order for each customer. The stone has a creamy white base streaked with deep violet and charcoal veining, and no two pieces share the same pattern. Built to hang in the corner where two walls meet, it measures 20 inches by 20 inches and stands 7 inches high, turning an angle that usually goes unused into the place where the bathroom's main fixture sits.

Design
Ribbed outside, polished within
The polished basin reflects light and deepens the look of the violet veining, so each pattern reads clearly. Outside, a softly ribbed texture runs around the sink and adds tactile depth to the stone. The curved inner edges guide water to the drain rather than letting it pool, which also keeps daily cleaning simple. Brass or gold fixtures make a strong contrast with the white and violet marble, and the modern form suits a compact powder room as well as a primary bath.

Where to use it
Using a dead corner
Corners are often the hardest part of a small bathroom to use well. Hung in the angle between two walls, this sink floats above the floor, so the room stays open and the floor beneath it is easy to clean. It is a good fit for a compact powder room, a guest bath or a primary bath where the main wall is already taken by a tub or shower.

Installation
Two walls to prepare
A corner wall-mount sink is carried by brackets on both walls, and solid marble is heavy. Both walls need blocking between the studs at the mounting height, which is easiest to add while the walls are open. A wall-mounted faucet is the usual pairing, so its position and the supply lines should be planned along with the drain before the walls are closed. A professional installer is recommended for the weight and so the plumbing lines up cleanly.

Care
Marble is a porous calcite stone, and acidic cleaners or liquids can etch its polished surface. The stone is protected with a sealer, and how often it is resealed depends on how much the sink is used.
