Calacatta Viola for the corner
This corner sink is carved by hand from Calacatta Viola marble quarried in Turkey. The stone has a crisp white base with expressive veining in gray and purple, and the grain is bold enough that every piece has a personality of its own. It measures 12 inches by 12 inches and stands 6 inches high. Made to fit into the angle between two walls, it turns a corner that usually goes unused into a small focal point, while keeping the rest of the bathroom open.

Design
Polished veining in a compact form
The sink is polished inside and out. The gloss gives the marble reflective depth and brings out the gray and purple veining, which changes with the bathroom lighting through the day. The surface is finished by hand, and the edges are curved with no harsh lines or hard-to-reach corners, so the basin is easy to keep clean. The footprint is small, but the stone has real presence: This is a sculptural piece that happens to fit a corner, not a filler. Because Calacatta Viola is a natural stone, the veining and color are different on every sink.

Two walls to prepare
A wall-mount corner sink is carried by the walls on both sides, so both need solid backing. Add blocking between the studs at the mounting height while the walls are open, then fix the sink on brackets. Because marble is heavy for its size, a professional installer is recommended. A wall-mounted faucet suits the compact basin, so plan the faucet position, the supply lines and the drain together before the walls are closed.

Care
Calacatta Viola is a porous calcite marble, so acids such as vinegar or lemon juice can etch its polished surface. It is resealed periodically, and how often depends on how much the sink is used.
