How to Buy Slabs

Slabs are delivered only to a licensed fabricator. Review the delivery requirements before requesting samples.

Do You Have a Fabricator?

Slabs can only be shipped to a licensed fabricator for unloading. We don't recommend shipping slabs to job sites or to non-fabricators. Before requesting samples, make sure you have a fabricator to handle your slabs.

Slabs Are Heavy and Delicate

Special care is required when shipping slabs. There are two shipping methods:

Truck with an A-Frame: Check with your fabricator to see if they are equipped to pick up the slab from our facility where it is located. Your fabricator should contact us to confirm availability and pricing before you order samples. We deliver within 50 miles of the warehouse directly to licensed fabricators only (no job site deliveries).
LTL Shipments by Crate: If your fabricator is more than 50 miles from our slab warehouse, they should ask about pricing for crating and shipping. Please contact us for crating charges and confirm freight costs before ordering slab samples.
Slabs should be handled only by the people listed above. We are not responsible for any damage or liability from slab handling.
Preparation and shipment of slab samples may take 6-9 business days.

Bianco Rhino marble with breccia pattern

This Bianco Rhino block shows a white marble broken into large cream and pale gray pieces. The slab is 3/4 inch thick and measures 73x124 in. The supplier did not name the finish for this block, so ask with your quote. Stock is on request.

Design

Cream fragments in a white Bianco Rhino slab

Unlike the honed Bianco Rhino blocks, this one has a broken, patchwork look. Rounded white pieces sit inside thin cream and beige seams, with the odd darker fleck. The contrast is gentle. From across a room it reads as warm white; up close it looks like a mosaic set by nature. No two slabs share the same layout of fragments.

Breccia look

White fragments framed by thin cream seams.

Warm white

Beige seams give the white a soft, warm tone.

Where to use it

One Bianco Rhino block at 73x124 in

It is rated for residential countertops and for residential and commercial interior walls, in a kitchen or a bathroom. The fragment pattern hides small seams well on a vanity or a counter. A licensed fabricator templates, cuts and installs it. Delivery goes to that shop: A-frame truck within 50 miles of the warehouse, crated LTL freight beyond.

Vanity tops

The patchwork keeps a small top interesting.

Warm kitchens

Cream seams sit well beside wood and brass.

Why we chose it

Different from the honed blocksA breccia pattern rather than soft clouding.

Care

Like any marble it is calcite and sensitive to acids. Sealing is left to the fabricator.
