How to Buy Slabs

Slabs are delivered only to a licensed fabricator. Review the delivery requirements before requesting samples.

Do You Have a Fabricator?

Slabs can only be shipped to a licensed fabricator for unloading. We don't recommend shipping slabs to job sites or to non-fabricators. Before requesting samples, make sure you have a fabricator to handle your slabs.

Slabs Are Heavy and Delicate

Special care is required when shipping slabs. There are two shipping methods:

Truck with an A-Frame: Check with your fabricator to see if they are equipped to pick up the slab from our facility where it is located. Your fabricator should contact us to confirm availability and pricing before you order samples. We deliver within 50 miles of the warehouse directly to licensed fabricators only (no job site deliveries).
LTL Shipments by Crate: If your fabricator is more than 50 miles from our slab warehouse, they should ask about pricing for crating and shipping. Please contact us for crating charges and confirm freight costs before ordering slab samples.
Slabs should be handled only by the people listed above. We are not responsible for any damage or liability from slab handling.
Preparation and shipment of slab samples may take 6-9 business days.

Blue de Savoie Dark, polished, in deep blue gray

Blue de Savoie Dark is a deep blue gray marble with fine white veins. This slab is polished, 3/4 inch thick, and 75x128 in. Polish pulls the blue forward. Stock is on request, and the price comes with a quote.

Design

Charcoal blue under a mirror polish

The ground is close to charcoal, with a cool blue cast that shows most in daylight. Thin white veins cross it at sharp angles, short and broken rather than long sweeps. Polish darkens the stone and gives it a glassy depth, so reflections from windows and lights play across the face. A dark marble like this pairs with brass, walnut and white plaster walls.

Dark and cool

Charcoal with a blue cast, lit up by thin white veins.

High polish

The polished face deepens the color and reflects light.

Where to use it

Polished Blue de Savoie Dark at 75x128 in

This marble is rated for residential countertops and interior walls in homes and commercial interiors, in kitchens and bathrooms. A dark vanity top or a full wall behind a bath shows it best. A licensed fabricator templates, cuts and installs it. We ship to that shop by A-frame truck within 50 miles of the warehouse, by crated LTL freight beyond.

Bathroom walls

A deep blue wall slab makes a small bath feel finished.

Bar tops

Dark stone suits a bar or a butler's pantry.

Why we chose it

Deep colorDarker than the regular Blue de Savoie.
Polished faceRich, reflective surface.
Big slab75x128 in, one piece.

Care

Polished marble shows etching from acids more readily than honed marble. The fabricator decides on sealing.
