How to Buy Slabs

Slabs are delivered only to a licensed fabricator. Review the delivery requirements before requesting samples.

Do You Have a Fabricator?

Slabs can only be shipped to a licensed fabricator for unloading. We don't recommend shipping slabs to job sites or to non-fabricators. Before requesting samples, make sure you have a fabricator to handle your slabs.

Slabs Are Heavy and Delicate

Special care is required when shipping slabs. There are two shipping methods:

Truck with an A-Frame: Check with your fabricator to see if they are equipped to pick up the slab from our facility where it is located. Your fabricator should contact us to confirm availability and pricing before you order samples. We deliver within 50 miles of the warehouse directly to licensed fabricators only (no job site deliveries).
LTL Shipments by Crate: If your fabricator is more than 50 miles from our slab warehouse, they should ask about pricing for crating and shipping. Please contact us for crating charges and confirm freight costs before ordering slab samples.
Slabs should be handled only by the people listed above. We are not responsible for any damage or liability from slab handling.
Preparation and shipment of slab samples may take 6-9 business days.

Blue de Savoie is a blue gray marble with soft charcoal veins. These slabs are honed and 3/4 inch thick, and two bundles of the same block are pictured in the batch list at 77x108 in. Stock is on request, priced by quote.

Design

Pale blue gray, matte, with charcoal veins

Honing lightens this stone. The blue gray turns paler and a little dusty, close to slate under an overcast sky, and the darker veins look drawn in pencil. Veins run mostly on a diagonal and cluster in a few areas while leaving wide open fields elsewhere. The two bundles come from one block, so their color and vein direction stay close.

Honing gives a paler, chalky version of the color.

It is rated for residential countertops and for interior walls in homes and commercial spaces, in a kitchen or a bathroom. Two bundles from the same block make it practical for an island plus perimeter counters. A licensed fabricator templates, cuts and installs the stone, and we deliver to the shop by A-frame truck within 50 miles of the warehouse or crated LTL freight beyond.
