How to Buy Slabs

Slabs are delivered only to a licensed fabricator. Review the delivery requirements before requesting samples.

Do You Have a Fabricator?

Slabs can only be shipped to a licensed fabricator for unloading. We don't recommend shipping slabs to job sites or to non-fabricators. Before requesting samples, make sure you have a fabricator to handle your slabs.

Slabs Are Heavy and Delicate

Special care is required when shipping slabs. There are two shipping methods:

Truck with an A-Frame: Check with your fabricator to see if they are equipped to pick up the slab from our facility where it is located. Your fabricator should contact us to confirm availability and pricing before you order samples. We deliver within 50 miles of the warehouse directly to licensed fabricators only (no job site deliveries).
LTL Shipments by Crate: If your fabricator is more than 50 miles from our slab warehouse, they should ask about pricing for crating and shipping. Please contact us for crating charges and confirm freight costs before ordering slab samples.
Slabs should be handled only by the people listed above. We are not responsible for any damage or liability from slab handling.
Preparation and shipment of slab samples may take 6-9 business days.

Calacatta Borghini marble, honed

Calacatta Borghini is a white marble with long gray veins and touches of gold. This slab is honed, 3/4 inch thick and 71x128 in. The block photo shows veins running diagonally across most of its length. Stock is on request, and the price comes by quote.

Design

Long gray veins on a bright Borghini white

The white is bright and clean. Gray veins, some thin and some wide as a finger, run on a long diagonal and branch into a fine web near the edges, with a faint gold tint in a few. Honed, the contrast is softer than a polished Calacatta, and the stone reads more like paper than glass. Veins this long make a good bookmatch on a wall.

This marble is rated for residential countertops and interior walls in homes and commercial interiors, in kitchens and bathrooms. A long island top keeps the veins unbroken. A licensed fabricator templates, cuts and installs it. Delivery goes to that shop, by A-frame truck within 50 miles of the warehouse and crated LTL freight beyond.
