A ribbed Calacatta Viola vanity sink
This wall-mount vanity sink is carved by hand from solid Calacatta Viola marble quarried in Turkey. The stone has a white and gray ground with its signature purple-tone veining, and because the pattern comes from the block itself, no two sinks look the same. The front is carved with a ribbed texture, and the interior and exterior are both polished. It measures 18 inches wide, 32 inches long and 6 inches high, a long, low form that hangs on the wall and leaves the floor below open. Each piece carries its own veining and natural color variation, which is what separates a carved stone sink from a factory-made one.

Design
Ribbed front, polished all over
The ribbed front is what sets this sink apart. Vertical ribs carved across the face add rhythm and depth, and once the sink is on the wall the light plays across them in ways that change through the day. Against that texture the polished surfaces stay smooth and reflective, so the burgundy and purple veining shows at its strongest. Inside, the curved edges and smooth construction reduce buildup and keep the basin comfortable to the touch. Calacatta Viola is prized for exactly this kind of veining, which cannot be imitated. Moderate color variation between pieces is normal: some sinks show more purple, others more white and gray.

Where to use it
A floating vanity for many baths
The wall-mount design frees up floor space and simplifies cleaning, with no awkward gap beneath a cabinet where dust and debris collect. A standard 1 inch bracket space under the sink keeps the mounting hardware out of sight. At 32 inches long, the sink gives a primary bath a generous basin, yet the 6 inch height and floating mount keep it light enough for a powder room or a compact urban bathroom. It can also sit on top of a vanity. The 1.5 inch drain hole connects to standard plumbing.

Installation
Plan for weight and the faucet
A marble vanity of this length is heavy, and professional placement is recommended for its weight and the precision the installation needs. The wall should have blocking between the studs at the mounting height, added while the wall is open, so the brackets in the 1 inch space have solid backing. A wall-mounted faucet is the natural pairing, and its rough-in should be fixed before the wall is finished. If the sink sits on a vanity instead, the top must be flat, level and strong, and the sink is set in silicone.

Care
Calacatta Viola is a porous calcite marble, and acids such as lemon or vinegar can etch the polished surface. Periodic resealing keeps up its protective barrier, and how often it is needed depends on how much the sink is used.
