Do You Have a Fabricator?

Slabs can only be shipped to a licensed fabricator for unloading. We don't recommend shipping slabs to job sites or to non-fabricators. Before requesting samples, make sure you have a fabricator to handle your slabs.

Slabs Are Heavy and Delicate

Special care is required when shipping slabs. There are two shipping methods:

  • Truck with an A-Frame: Check with your fabricator to see if they are equipped to pick up the slab from our facility where it is located. Your fabricator should contact us to confirm availability and pricing before you order samples. We deliver within 50 miles of the warehouse directly to licensed fabricators only (no job site deliveries).
  • LTL Shipments by Crate: If your fabricator is more than 50 miles from our slab warehouse, they should ask about pricing for crating and shipping. Please contact us for crating charges and confirm freight costs before ordering slab samples.
  • Slabs should be handled only by the people listed above. We are not responsible for any damage or liability from slab handling.
  • Preparation and shipment of slab samples may take 6-9 business days.

Quartzite · Slab

Emanuelle quartzite, 1 1/4 in, in sea green and gray

Emanuelle is a quartzite with sea green, gray and rust tones and dark fracture lines. This slab is 1 1/4 inch thick and 75x124 in, pictured in its block photo. Being a quartzite, it is harder than marble. Stock is on request, priced by quote.

Design

Sea green and rust with black fracture lines

Color shifts across the slab in broad zones. Pale sea green fades into silver gray, warm rust patches show near the top, and white crystalline areas spread through the middle. Sharp black lines crack across it all like ink. No two areas look the same, so this is a stone to choose by the photo and then plan around. Daylight pulls out the sea green; warm lamps bring the rust forward, so the stone changes with the time of day.

Mixed color

Sea green, gray, white and rust in one slab.

Ink lines

Black fractures cross the lighter zones.

Where to use it

It is rated for residential countertops and for residential and commercial interior walls, in kitchens and bathrooms. Quartzite holds up well on a working kitchen counter. A licensed fabricator templates, cuts and installs it, and we deliver to that shop by A-frame truck within 50 miles of the warehouse or crated LTL freight beyond.

Kitchen counters

A hard stone for daily cooking.

Thick edge

1 1/4 inch for a solid front edge.
