Gris de la Villette marble, honed, 1 1/4 in

Design
White veins on Villette slate gray
The gray is even and cool, close to the color of wet slate. Thin white veins flick across it in short, broken strokes, with a few longer ones running the full width. Honing makes the gray lighter and softer. It reads modern next to flat panel cabinets and quiet next to old wood, which is why designers like it for both.
Even gray
A steady mid gray ground with little shade change.
Short white veins
Bright strokes that stand out on the matte face.
Where to use it
Three honed bundles at 75x120 in
It is rated for residential countertops and for residential and commercial interior walls, in kitchens and bathrooms. With three bundles from one block, there is enough stone for counters, an island and a full height backsplash. A licensed fabricator templates, cuts and installs it, and we deliver to the shop by A-frame truck within 50 miles of the warehouse or crated LTL freight beyond.
Full kitchens
Three bundles from a single block.
Thick counters
1 1/4 inch for a square edge.
Why we chose it
- Three bundlesA large matched supply from one block.
- Cool grayA gray marble with crisp white veins.
- HonedSoft, matte surface.
Care
Calcite marble can etch from acids, which a honed face hides better. The fabricator decides on sealing.
