How to Buy Slabs

Slabs are delivered only to a licensed fabricator. Review the delivery requirements before requesting samples.

Do You Have a Fabricator?

Slabs can only be shipped to a licensed fabricator for unloading. We don't recommend shipping slabs to job sites or to non-fabricators. Before requesting samples, make sure you have a fabricator to handle your slabs.

Slabs Are Heavy and Delicate

Special care is required when shipping slabs. There are two shipping methods:

Truck with an A-Frame: Check with your fabricator to see if they are equipped to pick up the slab from our facility where it is located. Your fabricator should contact us to confirm availability and pricing before you order samples. We deliver within 50 miles of the warehouse directly to licensed fabricators only (no job site deliveries).
LTL Shipments by Crate: If your fabricator is more than 50 miles from our slab warehouse, they should ask about pricing for crating and shipping. Please contact us for crating charges and confirm freight costs before ordering slab samples.
Slabs should be handled only by the people listed above. We are not responsible for any damage or liability from slab handling.
Preparation and shipment of slab samples may take 6-9 business days.

Superceppo is a gray marble that looks like pressed river pebbles. Three bundles from one block are listed, with slabs 3/4 inch thick at 77x118 in. Each bundle has its own photo. Stock is on request, priced by quote.

Design

Gray pebbles in a three bundle Superceppo block

Rounded and angular pieces in white, silver and charcoal gray pack tightly together, some as small as a coin and some as large as a palm. It reads as texture more than veining. The pattern hides seams and small marks very well, which makes it a practical choice for a busy kitchen or a commercial washroom wall. From across the room the slab reads as a mid gray, and only up close do the separate pebbles appear, which makes it easy to pair with most colors.

This marble is rated for residential countertops and interior walls in homes and commercial interiors, in kitchens and bathrooms. Three bundles give enough stone for a large wall or a full kitchen. A licensed fabricator templates, cuts and installs it, and we ship to the shop by A-frame truck within 50 miles of the warehouse or crated LTL freight beyond.

Care

Calcite marble can etch with acids, though this pattern hides it well. The fabricator decides on sealing.
