Product Description
Taj Opus Emperial Grey is a 4 inch hexagon matte porcelain mosaic with a gray marble look. Its design recalls Taj Mahal stone, carrying subtle shimmer across a softly reflective surface. The geometric shape breaks the stone pattern into smaller facets, giving backsplashes and bathroom surfaces both movement and structure.
Each mosaic is 9 mm, or 3/8 inch, thick. The matte finish tempers reflections, while V3 shade variation creates noticeable differences among pieces for a varied, natural-stone effect. This mosaic is rated for backsplashes, residential interior walls, shower walls, shower floors, and bathroom floors and walls.
Water absorption of 0.5% or less qualifies the porcelain as impervious, so it takes up almost no water and does not stain from within. Breaking strength is at least 425 pounds, well above the 250-pound ANSI benchmark for floor tile. A wet DCOF of at least 0.42 meets the ANSI A326.3 threshold for level indoor floors exposed to water. The surface has Class E chemical resistance and is resistant to frost and thermal shock.
Sold by the sheet, each sheet covers 0.89 square feet. A box contains 5 sheets and weighs 18 pounds. Coordinating Emperial Grey pieces include 12x24 tile, 24x48 tile, and a 2x2 mosaic, while Palace White matte provides another color option in the 4 inch hexagon format.
