Product Description
Taj Opus Emperial Grey 12x24 matte porcelain tile gives a gray marble look a softly muted surface. Fine shimmer passes through the stone-inspired pattern, recalling the layered character of Taj Mahal while keeping glare controlled. The rectangular tile has rectified edges and a 9 mm, or 3/8 inch, body.
Its 12x24 dimensions create a measured directional rhythm suited to bathroom, kitchen, and living room surfaces. V3 shade variation means the gray tone and veining change noticeably from tile to tile, producing a more active field. Ratings cover residential and commercial interior floors and walls, plus shower walls, backsplashes, and light residential floors. Under ANSI A326.3, the ID classification refers to level indoor flooring that remains dry.
With water absorption capped at 0.5%, the tile meets the definition of impervious porcelain and takes in almost no water. Breaking strength is at least 425 pounds, far above the 250-pound ANSI minimum for floor tile. Its wet DCOF of 0.42 or greater meets the ANSI A326.3 criterion for level interior floors that get wet. Class E describes its chemical resistance, while separate evaluations show resistance to frost and thermal shock.
Sold by the box with the price displayed per square foot, 8 tiles cover 15.38 square feet. Each full box weighs 67 pounds. Emperial Grey is also available as 24x24 and 24x48 tile, a 2x2 mosaic, and a 4 inch hexagon mosaic.
