Product Description
Taj Opus Emperial Grey presents a 24x48 polished porcelain tile with a marble look in layered gray. The long format gives the Taj Mahal stone influence room to unfold, including fine shimmer that becomes more apparent as light crosses the polish. Emperial Grey keeps the composition cool and measured for contemporary interior surfaces.
Large 24x48 proportions produce fewer individual tile divisions across expansive areas and emphasize the direction of the marble pattern. The rectified perimeter provides clean geometry, while the tile is 9 mm, or 3/8 inch, thick. V3 variation introduces distinct tonal and pattern changes throughout the surface. Ratings cover residential and commercial interior walls, showers, backsplashes, and light-duty residential flooring in bathrooms, kitchens, and living rooms. ANSI A326.3 assigns an ID class for level indoor floors kept dry.
Absorption is limited to 0.5% or less, placing the tile in the impervious porcelain category and indicating that it takes up almost no water. Breaking strength of at least 425 pounds surpasses the 250-pound ANSI floor-tile standard. A wet DCOF at or above 0.42 meets the ANSI A326.3 criterion for level interior floors that get wet. The material has Class E chemical resistance and resists both frost and thermal shock.
Each 67-pound box holds 2 tiles covering 15.49 square feet, with sales by the box and pricing shown per square foot. Other Emperial Grey formats include 12x24 tile, 24x24 tile, and a 4 inch hexagon mosaic. Mirage Sand polished supplies a second color in 24x48.
