Taj Opus Emperial Grey comes as a 12x24 polished porcelain tile with the veining and gray coloring of marble. Fine shimmer gives the stone-inspired pattern added depth beneath the polished surface. The Emperial Grey palette offers a cooler interpretation of Taj Mahal stone for bathrooms, kitchens, and living rooms.
The rectangular format establishes a directional rhythm, and rectified edges give each 9 mm, or 3/8 inch, tile a precisely defined outline. Polish strengthens light reflection, while V3 variation means the gray tones and markings shift noticeably from tile to tile. Rated settings include residential and commercial interior walls, shower walls, backsplashes, and light-duty residential floors. Its ANSI A326.3 ID classification covers level indoor floors that remain dry.
With water absorption at 0.5% or less, this impervious porcelain absorbs almost no moisture and will not stain from within. Its breaking strength reaches at least 425 pounds, exceeding the ANSI floor-tile minimum of 250 pounds. Wet DCOF is at least 0.42, the ANSI A326.3 benchmark for level indoor floors that become wet. Class E chemical resistance accompanies resistance to frost and thermal shock.
The tile is sold by the box, with pricing shown per square foot. Eight pieces provide 15.38 square feet, and the box weighs 67 pounds. Emperial Grey also appears as 24x24 tile, 24x48 tile, and a 4 inch hexagon mosaic. Mirage Sand polished is available in the same 12x24 format.
