Product Description
Taj Opus Mirage Sand 4 inch hexagon polished porcelain mosaic combines a warm beige marble look with a broad six-sided pattern. Subtle shimmer catches across the polished face, and the stone movement draws on the quiet veining and tonal warmth of Taj Mahal stone.
Larger hexagons make the geometry easy to read while retaining the flexibility of a sheet-mounted mosaic. The pieces are 9 mm, or 3/8 inch, thick. With V3 shade variation, shifts in beige tone and marble pattern remain apparent from one piece to another, preventing the surface from appearing uniform. Approved locations include kitchen backsplashes, bathroom or kitchen residential walls, and shower walls.
Water absorption does not exceed 0.5%, meeting the definition of impervious porcelain and indicating that the body admits almost no moisture. At least 425 pounds of breaking strength places it well above the 250-pound ANSI floor-tile threshold. Wet DCOF is at least 0.42. It also has resistance to frost and thermal shock, together with Class E chemical resistance.
The mosaic is sold by the sheet, and one sheet covers 0.89 square feet. Five sheets come in a box weighing 18 pounds. The same Mirage Sand surface appears in 12x24, 24x24, and 24x48 tile, with a 2x2 mosaic completing the available formats.
