Product Description
Taj Opus Emperial Grey takes the form of a 4 inch hexagon polished porcelain mosaic with a gray marble look. Each six-sided piece frames part of a Taj Mahal stone-inspired pattern, enriched by a fine shimmer. The reflective finish and angular outline create changing highlights across kitchen and bathroom wall surfaces.
A 9 mm, or 3/8 inch, thickness gives the mosaic its physical profile. Its polished surface reads brighter under direct light, while V3 shade variation supplies noticeable differences in gray tone and veining among the hexagons. Rated applications are backsplashes, shower walls, and residential interior walls.
The porcelain absorbs no more than 0.5% water, qualifying it as impervious and indicating that moisture barely enters its body. Breaking strength measures at least 425 pounds, which exceeds the 250-pound ANSI minimum associated with floor tile. At 0.42 or higher, the wet DCOF reaches the ANSI A326.3 threshold for level interior floors exposed to water. Additional characteristics are Class E chemical resistance plus resistance to frost and thermal shock.
This mosaic is sold by the sheet, with 0.89 square feet of coverage per sheet. Five sheets make up an 18-pound box. The Emperial Grey collection includes 24x24 tile, 24x48 tile, and a 2x2 mosaic. Palace White polished is another color in the 4 inch hexagon shape.
